Terms of use
Last updated: October 21, 2026
These terms govern the use of the Remove Subtitles service on removesubtitles.com. By creating an account or using the service, you accept them.
Provider
The service is provided by Jonas Lismont, Dorneckstrasse 14, 4143 Dornach, Switzerland.
The service
Remove Subtitles uses artificial intelligence to erase burned-in subtitles from your videos and rebuild the image behind them. Results depend on the video, and the AI may leave traces or alter details. We do not guarantee a perfect result, and we may change or improve the service at any time.
Account
You sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for the activity on your account. You must be at least 16 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian.
Prices and payment
Each account can process the first 8 seconds of one video for free.
Beyond that, you buy processing minutes in advance. Prices are shown on the site in euros and include no hidden fees; your bank may apply currency conversion fees. Payment is handled by Stripe.
Each processed video uses credit equal to its length, counted by the second and rounded up to the next second. Purchased credit does not expire as long as the service is offered.
Refunds
If processing fails, the credit used is returned to your account automatically.
Unused credit can be refunded on request within 14 days of purchase. Credit already used for a completed video is not refundable: by starting the processing, you ask us to perform the service immediately and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal for that part.
Your videos
You keep all rights to your videos. You give us only the permission needed to process them for you.
You may only upload videos you own or have the right to modify. Removing subtitles must not be used to infringe copyright, remove a watermark or credit you are not allowed to remove, or create illegal, defamatory or misleading content. We may refuse or stop processing that breaks these rules and close the accounts concerned.
Liability
We provide the service with care but cannot guarantee that it is always available or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before the event, and we are not liable for indirect damage. Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent or gross negligence.
Changes and termination
We may update these terms; the new version applies from its publication on the site. You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account.
Applicable law
These terms are governed by Swiss law. The courts of the canton of Solothurn, Switzerland, have jurisdiction, subject to the mandatory rights of consumers to bring proceedings in their country of residence.
